Yemen has for years been divided between the North and South. The Houthis backed by Iranians in the North against the Southern internationally recognized government backed by Saudi Arabia and also the Southern Transitional Council STC backed by the UAE.
The seven-year civil war has left many dead and submerged the country in one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
